In this module students learn the mechanisms by which a narrative is constructed and the importance it has to certain types of games. Students learn this by studying the following:-

- Introduction to narrative and narratology
- Narrative structures
- convergence nodes
- Story types
- Plot and points of view
- Linearity

- The character and character development
- The story arc
