Module Details
Module Indicative Content
This module covers the skills required to produce tesxture assets for the games industry.
Students will explore:-
- 2D Bitmap manipulation software focusing on custom brushes, layer styles and filters.
- Generating multiple maps, bump maps, specular maps, normal maps and alpha maps.
- The application of Direct X game shaders.
- Basic Texture skills such as correct application of colour, light and shadow.

Texturing solutions will be aimed at both game and film pipelines.
Module Special Admissions Requirements
Students must have used Adobe Photoshop / 3D Studio Max.
