Module Indicative Content
The project requires the student to demonstrate a high-quality artistic solution to a proposed games art subject area. They pursue a practical piece of work agreed with their supervisor and proceed to design, create and iterate on the outcome.
The student will work with industry standard production tools under the guidance of a supervising tutor who they will meet in scheduled sessions.
All projects will be grounded in the field of Games Art or would reasonably fall under the duties of an artist within the games industry. Where possible the module will incorporate projects in collaboration with games studios. This includes art tests and live briefs where available and appropriate.
The module will support the student in expanding their transferable skillset including, but not limited to online portfolio curation and development, employability, branding, interview preparation.
The student will document their creative journey and their design and production processes used through the project in a well formatted art book which could be taken to interviews.
