Module Additional Assessment Details
To pass a student must have:
1. Completed relevant work experience normally over 40 weeks
2. Achieved at least 40% in the placement report.
The module cannot be compensated.
Module Resources
Students own resources.
University resources by arrangement.
Module Learning Strategies
Besides developing their own business, students will develop their learning from:
General relevant technical material, the use of various software packages and technologies and the experience of working to internal targets and with external clients.
Module Indicative Content
To provide practical experience of working in a Computer Games Company and to use this opportunity to reflect on personal development and career goals.
To experience at first hand the practical application of the theory and methods covered at level 4 and 5.
To develop appropriate behaviour attitudes within the work environment.
To provide practical experience in the legal, social and ethical issues of working by yourself, in teams and interacting with other organisations.
To apply and further develop communication and decision making skills.
Module Special Admissions Requirements
Must be eligible to proceed to an industrial placement AND must be registered on a Games Technology sandwich award. This module is NOT available to students with a tier 4 work permit.
