Module Details
Indicative Content
This module introduces the practices of producing observational artwork through progressive study in Photoshop.

In this module, students will be introduced to the practices of creating artwork through progressive study, using digital media, as well as learning how to critically evaluate their work.

Topics covered are:

Navigation and use of Photoshop for Drawing

Basic perspective construction

Modifying primitive forms

Value Shading

Linework

Additional Assessment Details
Assessment Component 1 – (Learning outcomes 1, 2, and 4)

An Art Portfolio weighted at 80% consisting of:

A series of completed digital observational studies evidencing a clear understanding of perspective construction methods, the application of observed study to imaginative concept work and, a fully constructed and shaded prop design.

Assessment Component 2 – (Learning outcomes 3 and 4)

A Reflective Report weighted at 20% consisting of:

A reflective report including a critical analysis of the creative processes used throughout the portfolio, discussion around your learning journey, personal progression and skill development.
