Module Details
MODULE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Understand the principal requirements necessary to successfully design a specialised hard surface vehicle or prop assets. E.g. considering functionality, affordance and environment
2. Demonstrate the ability to evaluate and discriminate between hard surface concept designs utilizing numerous different methods
3. Apply industry standard workflows in the production of a portfolio of hard surface concepts meeting a given brief
4. Critically evaluate the merits and problems with a hard surface design, and demonstrate an advanced understanding of how to improve and iterate on a design based on critical reflection and analysis.
MODULE ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Assessment Component 1 - (Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3)
An artbook portfolio weighted at 80% consisting of:
- You will undertake research to understand the necessary design requirements and incorporate these into a fully rationalised design process in line with industry-standard production methods. The outcome of which is an art book portfolio of a series of vehicle and props designs based on the assignment document briefs

Assessment Component 2 - (Learning Outcome 4)
Reflective Development Journal posted on the Digital Academy weighted at 20% consisting of:
- You will evidence your produce of the Portfolio on the Digital Academy. As the concepts are created you will evidence your workflow and critically define any improvements by comparing against the projects aesthetic and industry contemporaries.
