Module Indicative Content
This module provides the opportunity for the student to gain experience working in their own organisation or work placement by developing an in depth assignment on an appropriate sustainability/ environmental issue. Two aspects of the working environment will need to be considered. Firstly, a consideration must be given to the structural organisation and the roles and responsibilities of the sustainability/environmental manager/champion, and how they relate to others within the organisation, together with the student¿s temporary role. Secondly, the student must produce a structured analysis of the project s/he is being asked to undertake. Primary and secondary data can be gathered from the workplace. The student will be required to reflect on their contributions and identify areas of improvement in relation to sustainability/environmental management in their workplace project. Students will be asked to ensure that ethical considerations have been taken into account in the planning and execution of their projects.
