INDICATIVE CONTENT
The module will investigate some of those issues in the contemporary world which have arisen as a result of globalisation. Problems
such as human rights violations, poverty, migration, terrorism, and trade in arms affect all countries, whether in the North or South.
These issues will be examined from a multidisciplinary perspective, in an attempt to breakdown traditional academic distinctions
between politics and international relations.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
There will be a programme of 10 lectures and 10 seminars. 130 hours will be used for independent study, assisted by a detailed
module booklet and comprehensive reading lists. This time should be used to read about topics raised in the lectures and specifically
to facilitate seminar discussions. Reading will also be relevant to the final assessment.
