INDICATIVE CONTENT
The external/internal environments and their impact on organisational strategy in relation to learning and development
The concepts of organisational learning, the learning organisation and development of learning cultures
Identifying learning needs and the evaluation of design, delivery and measurement of learning
The factors influencing knowledge transfer and relation to cpd
The use and advancement of technology
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Written assessment comprising of analysis and recommendations of learning and development practices within own/selected organisation (LO1-3)
LEARNING STRATEGIES
The learning strategy for full-time/part-time on-campus and corporate delivery modes requires students to commit to 180 learning hours (including assessment). Of this there will be 30 hours of class or workshop support and 150 hours of independent and self-directed study for students working alone or as part of a learning group.

The tutor led learning assisted by recommended texts, articles and other sources, including on-line systems and legal data bases. Student-centred learning will include tasks and activities supported by reading and case studies. Individual and small group activities will enable students to utilise their experience and develop knowledge and understanding of module content as well as relevant underpinning skills. Independent enquiry and consolidation of understanding will be encouraged throughout and students will be expected to utilise information from a range of sources.
