ASSESSMENT DETAILS
2,000 word (80%) group case study evaluation based around the impact of an identified key factor on patterns of international business and hence the future development of the global economy.
The evaluation submission must :
Incorporate a critical evaluation underpinned by a range of relevant & contemporary theories & frameworks leading to reasoned conclusions which address the assignment task.
A 10 minute individual 'viva voce' (aural) examination plus Q&A by academic staff & peer group representatives reflecting critically on the relevant underpinning strategic agility & career ambition management & leadership competencies as they relate to this module (20%).

1. Employ a range of critical evaluation techniques to demonstrate a systematic awareness, understanding and knowledge of patterns of international business & the impact on global economies.

LEARNING STRATEGIES
A combination of lecture & tutorial F2F sessions. Example problem/practice based case examples and interactive discussion based on student contemporary experience.
The module requires a commitment of c.150 teaching & learning hours:
c.36 hours F2F class support comprising 20 hours lectures & 16 hours tutorial, individual 1:1 assignment coaching by appointment where required plus c.114 hours of independent directed/self directed study.
Participation in peer group discussion and directed reading of relevant texts & case studies
Independent research of relevant & related contemporary module related topics.
This module can also be undertaken as part of the Blended Learning (BL) delivery pattern. BL is defined as the thoughtful integration of each of the following in order to maximise student flexibility:
- Independent study (student reading/research and assessment preparation);
- Guided independent study (homework, group tasks and e-support in Blackboard);
- Online scheduled contact time (at least 10% of total contact time is online lessons where the tutor is present) and
- Classroom contact time.
