Module Learning Strategies
Workshops every week with preparation of TV and radio packages outside of the workshop. Typically, the workshop sessions once a week (100% of contact time) will include formative feedback from teaching staff on story choices and treatments, programme content, and recording and production techniques. Independent study will involve research (typically 20%), setting up items, including production meetings with other students (30%) and recording and editing material for radio, TV and online (50%).

Module Indicative Content
Students will work in news teams to devise and present both pre-recorded packages, voice reports and voice-overs as well as live news bulletins including political , and sports reporting. Students will research, record, present and edit a radio and television package and select, write and present a series of radio and TV news bulletins throughout the newsdays and contribute online material.
