Module Indicative Content
This module will guide students through the processes of converting ideas, topics and existing news stories into new consumer-addictive content. Students will work hands-on to replicate working practices in the modern, converged newsroom, beginning with the newsgathering process and working through the development and enhancement of content using a variety of sources and research methods. It will look at the different structure of stories in a range of media. The module will provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to produce and analyse stories to professional standards.
Module Learning Strategies
Weekly workshops to give students the knowledge and skills necessary to control the evolution of a news story from conception to publication, using modern research methods.
