Assessment on broadcast performance when presenting for radio and TV. A total of 6 broadcast artefacts (1 solo presentation radio bulletin recorded live, 1 solo presentation TV bulletin recorded live, 1 pre-recorded radio report, 1 pre-recorded TV report including a PTC, 1 dual presented radio bulletin, 1 dual presented TV bulletin.) 60% [Learning Outcomes 3, 5]

Essay 500 words - Critical analysis of development of broadcast presentation skills 40% [Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 4]
INDICATIVE CONTENT
Students will work in news teams to write and present both pre-recorded voice reports and as live news bulletins including political, entertainment and sports reporting for radio and television.
LEARNING STATEGIES
12 x 2 hour sessions

All aspects of the module will be facilitated through weekly workshops, tutorials, group critique, problem solving exercises and practical participation in TV and radio presentation exercises.

Broadcast Newsroom including radio studios.

Portable recording equipment (microphones and video cameras)

The Blackboard virtual learning environment will be available to support this module.
