INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of the theoretical and practical techniques used in online publishing for digital content creators.
You will gain basic technical skills in Adobe CC alongside various online website building tools such as Wix and Wordpress. You will also learn to effectively integrate social media platforms with these tools to develop a contemporary understanding of online publishing. This will allow you to supplement various forms of content creation with the skills & techniques acquired on the module.
Alongside these practical skills you will start to develop your profile as an online journalist and publisher. Undertaking research and development work for creating a credible online presence relevant to your area of interest and reflecting on how to use this to build your audience.
Students will cover the following topics;
Basics of movement and understanding HTML5.
Integrating Social Media Platforms
Preparing and exporting media files for web design and publishing
Developing an online identity
Research and development for online journalism
Building an online profile.
