INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module enables you to produce original content in the form of a fashion video. You will be expected to plan, shoot and produce a 3 minute video, which relates to an aspect of the fashion industry you have identified (in discussion with the module tutor). You will be expected to produce content to professional level and to do this you will have access to industry level equipment and software in video production (e.g. Adobe Premier). Your video production should also be accompanied by a contextual analysis, which highlights how you found the production process, how you solved problems you encountered and an analysis of where future work could develop.

To ensure your produce well informed material, you will also be expected to produce a research essay that demonstrates an understanding of key concepts and principles in the ‘look of fashion’. What is it that makes certain images and productions work to convey meaning within fashion? How does theory interlink with the practice of conveying meaning. Through lectures you will look at the how the fashion media presents itself in contemporary culture and what impact that has on consumers.
