Module Learning Strategies

To introduce key concepts, skills, techniques and information supported by visual and aural examples.

Developing content production skills in negotiation with independent learning using appropriate hardware and software, theoretical texts and exemplary material.

Module Indicative Content
This module builds on the broadcasting elements of the level one module Sports Event Reporting and Commentary to develop understanding of the situations and modes of delivery, in TV and radio, including in-studio, from-studio and location interviewing, studio panel discussions, phone-ins, backgrounders using archive material, pre- and post-match/event content and broadcast sports magazine management.
The module also develops knowledge of and fluency with: the systems, techniques and skills in producing content for the different media platforms; the selection and use of appropriate style of content; addressing the opportunities, constraints and demands of the industry to produce compelling content.
