Module Details
INDICATIVE CONTENT
This module will introduce you to the processes involved in the creation of non-fiction audio. You will be able to choose to work with in factual/ documentary, experimental or commercial podcasting. The module will enable you to develop the business, creative and technical skills required for non-fiction productions. Through the module you will develop and create a practical piece: a short non-fiction audio suitable to the chosen genre.

You will analyse a range of non-fiction productions including the use of audio material and form, editing processes and styles, legal and ethical issues, and distribution pathways to produce a non-fiction podcast series.
ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT DETAILS
70% Digital Creation: Research and produce a non-fiction audio programme (podcast). 15 minutes, 3 x 5 minute packages [LOs 3; 4]
30% Written Assessment: Personal Production notebook demonstrating the production process. 1500 words [LOs 1;2;4]
