Module Indicative Content
Students will work in news teams to devise and present both pre-recorded packages, voice reports and voice-overs as well as live news bulletins including political , and sports reporting. Students will research, record, present and edit a radio and television package and select, write and present a series of radio and TV news bulletins throughout the newsdays and contribute online material.
Module Learning Strategies
Workshops every week with preparation of TV and radio packages outside of the workshop. Typically, the day-long workshop sessions once a week (100% of contact time) will include formative feedback from teaching staff on story choices and treatments, programme content, and recording and production techniques. Independent study will involve research (typically 20%), setting up items, including production meetings with other students (30%) and recording and editing material for radio, TV and online (50%).
