Module Learning Strategies
This module requires candidates to commit to 150 learning hours (including assessment) of which a minimum of 42 hours will be direct supported learning (including lectures, workshops, case studies, in-class group discussions, and videos, blended learning etc)

Module Indicative Content
This CPD module is a work-based module designed for individuals working in front-line roles within the social housing and related sectors. It aims to provide an overview of the key legal issues and framework within which such individuals operate. As such it is subject to review and refreshment to maintain currency and fit with contemporary issues. Indicative areas of study include:

An overview of the legal background to housing and residential lettings
Types of tenancy agreements, and the responsibilities of relevant parties
Breaches, litigation and proceedings for possession
Tenants rights, landlords rights.
Non-residential lettings and general property matters (boundaries, consents and other sources of disagreement among and between tenants)
