Module Learning Strategies
WHOLE GROUP SESSIONS - A series of lectures used to disseminate general information and to provide an overview of the topics studied in detail and discussed in tutorials.

SMALL GROUP - Used to explore particular aspects of the Law of sale and to develop problem-solving skills. The analysis of problem questions may be carried out using a variety of methods; debate, mini-moot, pyramiding, unseen problem questions, and student and tutor led sessions. 5 HOURS SEMESTER 1.

DIRECTED STUDY - this will consist essentially of research into and preparation for the work to be undertaken in tutorials. Students are also encouraged to use this time to prepare their own stock of learning materials. Students will be provided with general guidance as to what is expected of them in their module handbook. Topic specific handouts provided in whole group sessions will identify where information may be obtained and further reading. 125 HOURS.

Module Indicative Content
This module deals with the law relating to transactions involving the transfer of property in goods. This is well suited to those intending to work in a trading environment.
- The main areas covered are the sale of goods and negotiating contract generally.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Details: The Assignment, 2500 words, weighted at 100%, will assess Learning Outcomes 1 - 6.

The Assignment question will relate to a problem scenario.

To pass this module, students must achieve a mark of at least 40%; there can be internal compensation between the two assessed elements.

Where a student also takes 'Commercial Law B - Consumer Protection' in the same academic year, an overall mark of 25% - 39% in one of these modules may be compensated by the other module, provided the average mark for the two modules is at least 40%.
