Module Indicative Content
Intellectual Property (IP) is often among the most important of the assets owned by businesses and individuals. IP law attempts to balance the rights of creators of products, processes or original work with the demands from society at large to have access to such products or works.

2500 word assignment, which will assess Learning Outcomes 1- 6

To pass this module, students must obtain an overall mark of at least 40%.
Module Learning Strategies
Small Group Sessions (workshops) will be used to explore aspects of the topics in depth using a variety of strategies including mini-lectures and problem-solving activities. There will be a 2 hour workshop for each group every week - 24 hours in total.
Directed Study and Independent Learning - Students will be required to carry out a substantial amount of independent reading and research in preparation for workshops. Detailed indicative reading lists are provided in the Study Guide. Students will be expected to make regular use of electronic legal resources as an independent research tool - 126 hours
