Module Learning Strategies
Commercial Law is taught within nine x 1 hour whole group sessions and nine x 2 hour individual/small group work and one week of self study. Additionally, for students following a blended-learning mode of delivery there will be on-line activities.

Agency, Distribution and Franchising
1. agency, distribution and confidentiality agreements
2. due diligence, duties of agents, distributors and principles
3. arrangements involving trading abroad
4. European legislation, necessity for compliance
Intellectual Property
1. intellectual property rights, data protection, information technology, health and safety, employment, trading standards, product liability, and product specific legislation
2. European legislation and the necessity for compliance
Business Acumen
1. potential for legal conflicts
2. practical context in which businesses operate
3. commercial awareness and business acumen

5. professional, industrial and trade associations
