Module Additional Assessment Details
The Project - 100%
Each student will have a maximum of 2 attempts per assessment. Therefore a student has 1 resit attempt for any assessment failed at first attempt.
The resit attempt will take place at the next available opportunity.
Module Learning Strategies
The focus of this award is on independent directed study.
The project will be a piece of independent research, amounting to 10000 words, carried out by the student under the supervision of a suitably qualified member of staff of the Law School. Students will be expected to be in contact with their supervisors as appropriate.
As this is a Distance Learning Award, students will need to be disciplined in their approach to study. They will have on-line access to the material at all times, but the onus for progressing the project will be on themselves, in consultation with their Project Supervisor.
Module Resources
Access to appropriate texts, cases and legislation, especially via specialist online legal databases e.g. Westlaw [utilising the Athens password system].
