Module Indicative Content
This module will cover the following areas -
1. Legislation and case law on corporate finance and lending.
2. The advantages and disadvantages of equity and loan finance.
3. Lending documentation (terms/defaults/enforcement).
4. Security and its enforcement.
5. Directors duties with regard to dealings in securities.
6. Compulsory purchase of minority shares in a takeover
Module Learning Strategies
This module will be strongly student centred. It will be delivered through a series of 5x 2 hour seminars supported by student research and personal study and there will be an additional five hours of student guidance, supervision and support. Students will follow a set pattern contained in the module handbook. A formative assessment will be used to encourage research on the subject area
