Module Indicative Content
1. Techniques of legal research - How does one actually engage in legal research? Formulating a proposal.
2. Positivisms - scientific, logical and legal - Understanding the effect of seeing law asw a distinct corpus.
3. Quantitative and Qualitative research - Comparing the two most generally used approaches of research.
4. Critical research - Law as an ideological form.
5. Research Proposals - The practical aspect of writing a proposal.
Module Learning Strategies
This module will be strongly student centred. It will be delivered through a series of 5x2 hour seminars supported by student research and personal study. Students will follow a set pattern contained in the module handbook.
