This module enables you to gain first-hand work experience with an employer, gain feedback and critically reflect on work experience enabling you to continually improve your effectiveness and identify and plan future career goals and aspirations.
MODULE LEARNING STRATEGIES
The learning strategy adopts a distance learning approach with provision of a structured and comprehensive bank of VLE-delivered learning materials. Subject themes and concepts will be introduced by the provision of synchronous and asynchronous recorded/live sessions, which will be followed with recommended activities, such as reading, participation in online discussions, reflections, watching videos, completion of bitesize online courses, quizzes or presentation development. Students will be encouraged to engage in peer learning by sharing experiences and discussing themes on online discussion forums.
Students will complete work experience for a period of 70 hours during the Module, enabling them to apply their knowledge, skills and behaviours in an organisational environment. They will learn through feedback and reflection how to ensure personal and professional effectiveness within a role and organisation.
