Standard statistical distributions such as Binomial, Poisson, Normal and Exponential.
Model univariate and bivariate random variables using appropriate probability distributions.
Estimation and hypothesis testing including goodness of fit.
Module Learning Strategies
Core theoretical material will be delivered through lectures (12 hours), while tutorials and computer laboratory sessions (24 hours) will give opportunities to apply techniques to a variety of practical problems.
