Module Additional Assessment Details
1 x 3 hour examination (50%) which will assess Learning outcome 1.
3 x assignments (50%) overall weighted at 20% Mechanics, 15% Thermofluids, 15% Materials which will assess Learning Outcome 2.
Module Indicative Content
Statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, materials structure and properties.
Module Learning Strategies
Learning on all aspects of the contents will be facilitated by attending lectures (24 hours 1:n)
Practical and analytical assignments using laboratory equipment (24 hours 1:20)
Tutorials (24 hours 1:20)
Problem solving and student centred learning.

2. Houndsfield and Lloyd tensile testers.
3. Gyroscope rig, Bending moment/shearforce beam,Flywheel moment of inertia rig, Spring stiffness rig, hardness tester rig
