100% coursework 2 assignments, each with 50% weighting
1. Written report on the governing bodies within the industry (2500 words word processed) assessing Learning Outcome 1 and 3.
2. Business presentation on a prepared business forecast plan for the season assessing Learning Outcome 2.

Module Indicative Content
The motorsport industry, Governing bodies, MIA, MSA, FIA. Race clubs BRSCC. Series regulations (Blue Book).
Specialist sectors associated with competition: specialist manufacturers, hospitality, sponsorship, insurance, tourism, venues travel organisations, journalism
Span of motorsport activities: Rallying, circuit racing, karting, trials, auto tests, sprints, drag racing, tractor pulling
Financial Management:
Budgetary control, profit and loss, balance sheets, cash-flow/cash-flow forecasting, breakeven analysis.
Personnel:
Team leadership, Team building, measuring effectiveness, job roles within a team. Span of control and communication. Performance and presentation. Team welfare
Logistics:
Transportation law; weights, licences and taxation, driver hours.
Route Planning: Best and Alternative routes with timed schedules.
Equipment vehicle loading plans and order.
Specifications for, meeting deadlines, routes and route changes.
Racetrack garages, pit lane operation and protocol.
