Module Indicative Content
Thermodynamic properties and processes, property charts and tables, Zeroth, 1st, and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics. State and equalibrium, cycles, open and closed systems, phase change of pure substances, Ideal gas equation of state, internal energy, enthalpy, entropy, secific heat, reversible and irreversible processes.
Module Learning Strategies
Learning on all aspects of the contents will be facilitated by attending lectures.
Research/analytical assignment
Problem solving and student centred learning(background reading, revision etc)
Contact time: 24hrs lectures: 12 hrs tutorials

This module may be delivered full-time on a block delivery basis at West Cheshire College.
