Module Details
Module Indicative Content
Design:
The student will learn the principles of operation of vehicle components affecting handling such as springs, dampers, camber, braking systems, gearboxes, fuelling systems.
Preparation:
The student will experience the vehicle setup factors affecting handling such as spring rate, damper rate, camber, weight distribution, corner weights, ground clearance, brake balance, gear ratios, fuelling fuel load and consumption.
Scrutineering:
The student will be introduced to the requirements of Scrutineering at motorsport events
Fabrication:
Tasks included in this module will include, fabrication, cutting, welding, grinding and vehicle presentation.
