Module Details
Module Indicative Content
For this module, students must become a member of a motorsport club, marshalling group or other similar organisation. An essential part of the module is that they undertake a course suitable for the organisation they have joined, leading to a suitable qualification, as well as taking part in the associated activities of the organisation. There may be a cost to the student for these activities which the student will be required to self-fund.

The aim of the module is that students can gain real world experience of a field of motorsport, through their involvement with the organisation they have chosen. It is expected that students will also gain experience in all the associated aspects of motorsport and support operations; e.g.: Safety Protocols, Regulations, Procedures, etc. They will be expected to attend appropriate training on suitable topics as offered by the club or organisation.
Module Learning Strategies
Tutorials and group discussions, both within the university and at the relevant club, will take place. Tutorial slots of one hour per week will be available for student discussion and interaction, others will be at the motorsport site and be taught by relevant instructors. The remaining time will be spent on activities at the club, studying the theory of racing and motorsport operations, and maintaining a detailed logbook.
