Appraisal of design features
Basic manufacturing, materials and joining processes
Essential sketching techniques
Presentation of concept design including annotation
Computer based 3D modelling, creation of engineering drawings from 3D models. Dimensioning, tolerancing (dimensional, geometrical and surface finish) to BS8888.
Communication (including visual presentation skills, report writing)
Module Additional Assessment Details
Coursework length 3000 WORDS (this may be offset by design element, sketches CAD)weighted at 100% assessing all learning outcomes.
