Module Special Admissions Requirements
Available for part-time students working in industry.
Module Resources
Appropriate work-based learning opportunities including interviews with designers/managers and access to equipment/laboratories in the work-place.
Module Learning Strategies
Induction - 1 hour
Telephone/ email discussions 5.5 hours (maximum)
Interim interview - 1 hour
Presentation and interview - 0.5 hours
(Timetable as 1 hour per group of 20 per semester plus 10 mins/student/week)
Module Indicative Content
The student must undertake a structured analysis of design techniques or production processes recently completed by their company.

The technical topics considered should be tailored to match the background of the student and negotiated between the module tutor, the student and his/her manager.
