Module Indicative Content
Design characteristics of pumps and fans, torque, head, flow rate, machine efficiency, NPSH (net positive suction head). Detailed fluid conduit design, characteristic curves and machine/system matching, multiple machine arrangements, modelling of fluid systems.

1 problem laboratory based assignment (50%), 1500 words approx assessing learning outcome 2
