Module Details
Module Indicative Content
This module will introduce basic aerodynamic shapes that are generally studied alone: airfoils and wings are among the most well known. Other components are only used as add-ons to promote specific aerodynamic performances, for example slats, flaps, spoilers and other aerodynamic devices. These will be introduced along with basic fluid flow theory.
Module Additional Assessment Details
Coursework length 2500 words and 10 minute presentation weighted at 50%. Learning outcomes 2 and 4
Multi choice class test 1 hour weighted at 50%. Learning outcomes 1 and 3
Module Learning Strategies
Student centered Learning using VLE/Textbooks for delivery of course material and worksheets. Assignment submission and feedback via email and Blackboard.
Module Special Admissions Requirements
None.
