Class Test - multiple choice - weighting 50% assessing all learning outcomes 1, 2, and 3.

Assignment (50%) involving a Computational Fluid Dynamic analysis of an engine system will assess learning outcome 2.
Module Indicative Content
Effects of variation of engine parameters including ignition timing, fuel supply, valve timing and compression ratio.
Alternative engine concepts and compare these with conventional modes of operation.
Feasibility of operation of engines on alternative fuel sources to encompass ECU's, emissions and environmental issues.
