An exam - unseen in exam condition length 2 hours weighted at 70% which will assess Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3
Module Indicative Content
Vibrations. 2 Degree of Freedom Systems; including damping, vibration absorbers. Transient vibrations of simple systems. Torsional vibration of 2 Degree of Freedon system. Matrix methods for analysing multi-degree of freedom systems with free vibration.

Learning on all aspects of the contents will be facilitated via a Virtual Learning Environment.
Practical and analytical assignments using laboratory equipment.
Problem solving and student centred learning.

Commercial Software Packages: Mathcad, MATLAB, ANSY finite element,Excel, PC projection. Laboratory provision.
