Module Indicative Content
The module aims to develop the students understanding of the application of design and technology to solve current issues in the design of sporting equipment, e.g. Running Shoe Design. Students will investigate problems and apply their knowledge to produce critical appraisals of the current sports equipment design eg, effectiveness of running shoes or mountain bike frame design. They will then build from this to provide justifiable concept designs apply and a critical design evaluation process to realise a final detailed design solution.
Module Additional Assessment Details
ICA (100%) which will be assessed by a written report (not exceeding 3000 words) which will assess learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3.
