Module Additional Assessment Details
Examination 50% Length 2 Hours which will assess Learning Outcome 1
Practical work and reports 50% which will assess Learning Outcome 2
Module Indicative Content
The module gives the students the opportunity to provide solutions for stress and dynamic technology problems. They will further their knowledge studying:-
Axisymmetry stress analysis of thick cylinders and rotating disks.
Matrix methods, finite element and potential energy methods.
Fatigue and fracture analysis.
Forced damped Vibration Analysis of two degrees and multi-degrees of freedom systems.
Practical applications using commercial Finite element Analysis packages like ANSYS.
