Module Details
Module Learning Strategies
Learning will involve individual research, preparation and execution of mission objectives followed by thorough debrief and reflection on achievements and failures.
Learning will be from pre-briefings and individual preparation for aircraft sorties both in the simulators and in actual aircraft.
Learning will be developed in post-sortie de-briefs with instructors and peers. Reflection on learning will form part of the preparation for ensuing sorties.
Learning will involve practical application of techniques previously learnt.
Students will have access to RAF and MoD materials that would be available in a real operational situation.
Module Special Admissions Requirements
By selection conducted by the RAF.
Completion of Groundschool, Operational theory and Weapons theory
Module Resources
RAF simulators, operational aircraft, live and dummy weapons.

RAF Instructional staff, support materials and relevant practical equipment.

Access to MoD facilities

The module is delivered entirely by RAF instructional staff.

Module Additional Assessment Details
Formative testing as part of sortie debriefs requiring successful completion of each sortie to move on to the next. Sortie is graded 1-5 (0-Fail, 5-Above average)
Summative testing on individual and group research in preparation for sorties.
Assessed leads and exercise sorties graded to specific criteria to ensure the RAF-required standard is met.
