Module Indicative Content
Effective midwifery practice: theory underpinning promotion of women's health and wellbeing; public health & women in contemporary society; psychological health - maternal mental health; sexual health and related anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology; developing knowledge and understanding of public health
Professional, legal and ethical practice: role of the midwife and multidisciplinary team in relation to women's health and contraceptive needs; demonstrating knowledge of legislation relating to human rights, equal opportunities, equality and diversity
Developing the individual midwife and others: promoting self-awareness and mental wellbeing; effective communication by demonstrating respect, dignity and kindness with 'women of diversity'; effective use of statutory supervision in protecting the public
