Legal and Professional Aspects: Information governance Critical incident and serious event management Reporting concerns and whistleblowing Documentation Effective Handover Role of the Professional Midwifery Advocate and Restorative Clinical Supervision

Complete Year 2 requirements within the Midwifery Ongoing Record of Achievement (MORA).

This assessment must be successfully passed at a minimum of 40% to complete this module.

Formative Assessment – Practice Assessor Review 1 and Practice Assessor Review 2 to be completed in the MORA.

This module will continue to build on your clinical skills and theoretical knowledge learnt in year 1. You will continue to develop as a skilled midwife practitioner and the concept of high- risk midwifery care will be introduced during this year. We will explore obstetric emergencies and how these can be managed effectively, focusing on teamwork, interprofessional working and holistic care. This module will include placements in a variety of midwifery settings and incorporate a medical and surgical placement to support your learning in relating theory to practice. During the year you will develop your competencies surrounding core aspects of general care.

Must be enrolled on Bachelor of Midwifery (Hons) and achieve the University regulation and compliance requirements for progression to Level 5
