Module Indicative Content
This module will focus on enhancing knowledge, critical understanding and analysis of the issues relating to Contraception and Sexual health care in the UK. Throughout the module, discussion will include meeting individual needs regardless of age, race, culture and sexuality. Similarly professional legal and ethical issues will be discussed throughout the module.
Contraception and Sexual Health Services within the UK.
Commonly used Contraceptive methods.
Commonly occurring Sexually Transmitted Infections.

Assessment in two parts;
A 3000 word assignment (written assessment) on an aspect of Sexual Health (contributes to meeting LO's 1, 2, 3 and 4) weighted at 75%
Multiple Choice paper 30 minutes duration (contributes to meeting LO 3) weighted at 25%
all elements need to be awarded a pass for successful completion of the module.
