WEB DESCRIPTORS
This module aims to consolidate level 4 and level 5 knowledge and experience in order to develop your ability to think critically, solve problems and make informed decisions as a leader and promote excellence. This module encompasses attributes vital to the midwifery role including being accountable, autonomous and professional in order to register with the NMC. On this module the legal, ethical and professional frameworks within health care will be reviewed and applied to the scope of practice. Leadership styles will be explored with the opportunity to reflect upon these and the way in which organisational culture impacts upon them. Strategic documents will be examined, and consideration given to their impact on the midwifery profession and consequently service users. The impact that collaborative partnership working has upon the midwifery profession and service users will also be considered.
