INDICATIVE CONTENT
Leadership and management of high risk and/or complex care:
High Dependency Unit care Mental health crisis (including postpartum psychosis and post traumatic stress disorder)

Maternal death, care of the dying woman and bereavement care
Complex infant feeding issues (including tube feeding)
Antenatal care following assisted reproduction
Leadership and management:
Prioritising care, care planning and escalating concerns
Handover of care and interdisciplinary and multiagency working
Behaviours of self and others
Self-reflection, team reflection and wellbeing

ASSESSMENT DETAILS
Complete Year 3 requirements within the Midwifery Ongoing Record of Achievement (MORA).

This assessment must be successfully passed at a minimum of 40% to complete this module.

Formative Assessment – Practice Assessor Review 1 and Practice Assessor Review 2 to be completed in the MORA

This module aims to consolidate your clinical midwifery skills and academic evidence-based knowledge. It will ensure that by registration you are a fully accountable, autonomous, professional midwife who can effectively and safely plan and deliver women-centred, holistic care. We will continue to focus on complex clinical skills but also focus on decision making and leading care to ensure you are prepared for the contemporary midwifery healthcare setting.
