Module Indicative Content
This module requires that you develop an understanding of the knowledge, skills and techniques required for evidence based practice/evidence based medicine; this will therefore include the following;
Principles of evidence based medicine
Types of evidence
Use of library and medical data bases
Critical appraisal of evidence
Understanding of statistical measurements of effectiveness
Concept and principles of audit
Application of evidence to practice
Clinical Governance
Working reflexively; utilising experience, judgement, logical principles, clinical skills, clinical scepticism, risk, harm. Arriving at diagnosis, understanding differential diagnosis, test of treatment, test of time.

Written assignment: reflective appraisal of process involved in the process of undertaking the clinical audit 100% 3000 words (addressing all LO's)
