Professional, legal and ethical practice: regarding role of the midwife and multidisciplinary team working
Developing the individual midwife and others: effective collaboration and communication; sharing information and skills with others
Achieving care through evaluation and research: competing research paradigms the process of research critique and current issues in research. Evidence based practice and its relationship to research based practice, exploration of issues surrounding the application of research in practice, the use of specific methods commonly used in research, research methodologies and methods, interpretation of common statistics used in research and research governance

A Critical review of research literature related to midwifery practice with particular emphasis upon the application of research methodologies and the research process adopted. 3,500 word critical review, Weighted 100% (assessing all LO's)

A research proposal, including a literature search and critical appraisal of issues related to the proposed methodology. 3,500 word written proposal weighted 100% (assessing all LO's)
