English Language skills, e.g. Business terms and specific meaning in Business such as business environment, human resource management, marketing, business planning, financial management etc. Social English and cultural awareness.
Academic Skills, e.g. Studying, note taking, brain storming, report writing, presentations, researching, plagiarism, referencing, interpreting data, individual and group work, developing arguments.
Personal Development, e.g. Time management, goal setting, self reflection
Research into a specific area of management relevant to the named award, to further the knowledge in that area.
Module Learning Strategies
This module includes some formal lectures (6 hours), but is predominantly activity-based, with opportunity for individual skill development and support via small tutorials (18 hours) of no more than 20 students.
