Module Indicative Content
The aim of this module is to examine the key components within creative vision.
Understand the impact this will have on your business and services
- Understanding visual concepts
- Visual concepts and the consumer
- Using imagery to promote and improve business concepts
- Investigating proven aspects of good creative vision within the salon and beyond
- Apply chosen area of imagery
- Analyse the process of creative vision
- Critically evaluate two iconic businesses, look at their salon branding to include (colour scheme, fascia, staff image, promotional materials personal profile etc)
- The tangible business benefits that may be derived from a better understanding of the importance of visual impact will be examined.
Module Learning Strategies
The learning strategy for this module requires students to commit 150 learning hours (including assessment). This will include 24 hours of class support and 126 hours of independent and self directed study.
The class sessions will include formal lectures, case study analysis and group discussions based on student experiences in the subject area. Students will be encouraged to integrate their work based experiences with new knowledge and skills developed in the classroom as the module progresses.

Report 1200 words (60%) (Learning Outcomes 1 ¿ 3)
Visual presentation to include portfolio with examples of chosen media (40%) (Learning Outcome 4):
- Website development
- Photographic evidence
- Promotional materials etc
